Image · Still life · Beeswax Polish 250g
We mix our beeswax polish in the Lewes studio in small batches. The recipe has three ingredients: British beeswax from a Hampshire apiary, cold-pressed linseed oil, and real gum turpentine from southern France. No silicones, no synthetic waxes, no solvents beyond the turpentine.
Applied to oak, the polish darkens the timber slightly and brings out the grain without the plastic sheen of modern waxes. Over time it builds a genuine patina — the kind that looks right on a 200-year-old beam and wrong on a factory-finished board.
One 250g tin covers approximately 30m² with a single coat.
